The Barataria-Terrebonne National Estuary is located between the Mississippi and Atchafalaya Rivers in south Louisiana. Bayou Lafourche separates this complex into two basins, Barataria Basin to the east, and Terrebonne Basin to the west.
In 2011 we partnered up with BTNEP in an effort to help raise awareness of our rapidly disappearing local estuary. We decided to organize a golf tournament that not only raises awareness to this program, but helps financially support some of their many efforts to save our estuary. We are happy to say that all proceeds go directly to the foundation and we have already raised over $40,000 through this annual golf tournament.
Remember, if you live, work, or play in the Barataria-Terrebonne National Estuary or are one of the millions that use its resources across the nation, you have a vested interest in its restoration.
Call Lisa to register for our 4th annual GULF tournament at 985-212-2764. The tournament is at Sugarland Country Club in Raceland on September 12th.
Barataria Terrebonne National Estuary Program is a partnership of government, business, scientists, conservation organizations, agricultural interests, and individuals for the preservation, protection, and restoration of the Barataria-Terrebonne National Estuary in southeast Louisiana.
